Merry Christmas to Me, Harley

Happy Holidays came to my house when my best dog friend, Hana, came to stay with me. We had lots of fun smelling each other. I think she smells good, so I smelled her all the time. My Mom and Dad told me to quit, but I couldn't help myself.

I waited in this spot for a long time because I heard that Santa might come down the chimney and give me my gifts, but I never saw him.

My Mom said I had to get dressed up for Merry Christmas so she made me wear a tie and vest. Hana thought I looked good, so I didn't mind wearing it.

Finally, I got my Merry Christmas gifts. It was a couch with my name on it, and two couch pillows and a red throw. My Mom liked it a lot, but I'd just rather lay around her on the big couch. But, I did enjoy my Merry Christmas because of all the food that was dropped on the floor, and Hana gave me a raw hide shaped like a candy cane. Yummy! Yummy!

Woof to you and yours this season,
Harley

When will Santa ever get here?

Hey, It's me Harley wondering when Santa will ever get here. I've been waiting very patiently in my bed, but he hasn't come yet. My Mom says it won't be long, but he had better hurry up because I don't like waiting.
If you happen to see him will you tell him I'm in my "yard" being a good little doggy just like I promised him I would be.
I know he brings good little boys gifts so I can't wait until he brings something for me. I hope he doesn't forget something for my cat, Lilo, even though My Mom says he's mean.
I think I hear something on the roof now. I'd better see who it is.
Woof, woof,
Harley

I'm One!

Did you know? I'm One! My Mom said I had to have a Birthday bath because she was giving me a party. I didn't want a bath because it makes me unhappy. ...But My Mom said people would want to be around a good smelling little dog so I took my bath like a big boy.
My day got better when My Mom started fixing my birthday cake. It was a little cake with my name on it...well I guess it was my name, I can't read yet!

My Mom fixed lots of decorations so my birthday party would be fun.
When my friends came they got to make a pretty paint picture. I wasn't allowed to make any, and it was my birthday! That didn't seem fair to me!
Then the real fun came when they all sang Happy Birthday to Me Harley! I got to eat my little birthday cake, and it was very yummy. However, My Mom took it away before I could finish it all. She told people that I have a little tummy and couldn't hold it all, well I could have eaten it all if she would have let me!

Next, my friends at their food. My Mom had fixed a Kitty Litter Cake, because she said that's what dogs really like, and some dog bone cookies. I didn't get a sniff of either one of those treats, My Mom didn't even let me get a bite of ice cream.

The last game was "Pin the I.D. Tag on Harley". I loved watching my friends get a chance to play.
After that they all got a gift basket for their own dog or cat and went home.

My Mom and Dad got me clothes, like I want more clothes!

...But My Aunt Roxana got me this really cool toy Santa Lion that squeaks. I really like that, any my friends make me cards. They were fun to rip up and watch My Mom pick up all the little pieces from the carpet. So as birthdays go...I guess this is the best one I ever had!

Hope you have a great birthday like I did!
See Ya,
Harley Number One,

Harley's Big Boy Haircut

Hey,
It's me Harley!
If you don't think I look like myself it's because My Mom took me to get my Big Boy Haircut today.
Tomorrow I will be 11 months old so My Mom said it was time for me to get a trim.
Do you like my new look?
My Mom took me to "Hot Dogs and Phat Cats Salon" to get my first professional hair cut.
My Mom is the best, she waited on me while I got my hair cut. She didn't want them to put me in a cage because I would be afraid. So when I was all finished she was right there to give me a hug.
The lady said I was a good little dog so My Mom took me to McDonald's afterwards.
What a life!
The new me,
Harley

Happy Howl O'Wiener

Boo! I'm a MONSTER !!!!

Don't be afraid, it's only me, Harley, dressed up for Howl O'Wiener.
Below is a picture of my niece, Hana the Boston Terror! My sister, Elly, dressed her up like a pig. She looks happy here, but she told me she really wanted to be a Little Princess and wear a boa with feathers. I told her she looked good, so she smiled at the camera. Don't you feel good inside when you are nice to someone? I do.
This is a picture of my cat, Lilo. My Mom tells me to stay away from her because she is really mean. I don't think she's mean, she lets me jump on her. My Mom didn't make her a costume. I guess she thinks she is scarey enough because she only has one eye.

It won't be long before I get to go Trick or Treating. My Mom said she was taking me if I wouldn't bark at all the kids. I promise I won't, so I might come to your house.
Hope you will not be too afraid to answer your doorbell.

Lookout Mountain Tennessee

Woof,

I wanted to tell you that I got to go on another trip. This time we headed to Alabama because my dad had a business trip. Now I have been in 10 states and 1 different country.
I love to travel!
I get to catch up on my special time with My Mom and dad.

Have you seen Rock City?

The people there are really nice, they let me go in to see all the rock formations. It was really cool. My Mom made me sit by this little house so she could take my picture.

Sitting by the little house was fun, but then My Mom stuck me out over this cliff and I about fell off! I was so scared, but she thought I looked cute...it was horrible. She should really be more careful with my life.

Then she put me on this swinging bridge.
What was she thinking? I could have fallen off and believe me it was a long way down to the bottom.
Thank goodness I reached the other side without a problem. I think next time I will let her know that I don't do bridges that swing!
Rock City was an adventure for a little schnoodle like me, Harley!

September is full of family birthdays!

Woof, woof, I'm Harley the party animal!! There are three of my family members that have birthdays in September; Ryan and Granny and Popaw. Wanna help me celebrate? Do you have a party hat too? My party Happy Birthday hat is not so much fun to wear. In fact when My Mom puts it on my head I don't like it at all. I think if I look real sad she will feel sorry for me and take it off!
Hey, it worked... I don't have to wear it!
Chewing on it is much more fun. Now let's get the party started!!!
Celebrating birthdays IS fun after all! A big Happy Birthday to Ryan, Granny and Popaw from me, Harley!

Labor Day 9/07

Happy Labrador Day,

Know what, this is me Harley, riding in the car beside My Mom headed for Charlottesville, Virginia. I'm only 8 months old and I've been to see Emily in Charlottesville 5 times. I love to travel. My Mom pets me the whole time and it makes me sleepy.

This is Emily and me. I like Emily she gives me liver treats and hugs me.

Guess what? Emily gave My Mom an early birthday present. You'll never guess what it is...so I'm going to tell you.

It was a Doggy Cookbook with Bone Cookie Cutters.

My Mom was really happy so she made me lots of Cheddar Cheese Doggy Treats.

But My Mom wouldn't give me but one because she didn't want me sick in the car on the way home.

This is me enjoying the one little bone My Mom let me have. They were really yummy. If My Mom gets a Doggy Cookbook and Bone Cookie Cutters for her birthday wonder what she'll get for Christmas?

I'm the luckiest dog ever!

See you later,

Harley, the travel dog

Harley Goes to School

Guess What? I got to go to School!!! My Mom took me to Aunt Roxana's first grade class and I got to sit on her lap and look cute to keep the kids quiet while My Mom read a story. I laid on My Mom's lap so the kids would listen to the story. I was really good, and the kids liked petting me when My Mom wasn't looking....but this one kid poked me in the eye, and I didn't like that.
The kids drew me a picture.
Here are four pictures that smelled really good to me, but I liked all of my pictures!

I had fun at Aunt Roxana's first grade class, and I might go back soon. My Mom was proud of how good I was and gave me chicken jerky when I got home. Yummy!
Smell you later,
Harley, the smart school pup

Harley at the Lake

Woof, woof....hey everybody....just wanted to show you pictures of My Dad, My Mom, My Oldest Sister Elly, and Me, Harley, at the Lake. We rented a Pontoon at Lake BARK ley. My Mom worried I would drown so I had to wear a life jacket. The life jacket was cool. Elly liked picking me up in it, and I like looking over the side at the water. I found lots of stuff to woof at, especially the birds. We all had a great time, so I'm hoping I get to go again.

See you at the lake,

Harley

Here are some of the pictures from the Fashion Show. I had a blast! I got to smell lots of dogs and bark at all of them. My Mom is the best, oh, and don't tell anyone, but My Dad went too!!

Harley at Emily's new apartment in Charlottesville, VA

Woof, woof, this is me, Harley, at Emily's new apartment in Charlottesville. My Mom and Aunt Roxana and of course ME, went to help her decorate her new apartment. I helped Mom with the blue curtains behind me. She sat on the couch and sewed them while I layed on them. My Mom didn't think I helped much and made me get off of them a few times, sometimes My Mom doesn't understand what a big help I can be. I'm really proud of how they turned out. My Mom couldn't have done it without me! She must have like them too because she sat me in the newly recovered ice cream parlor chair and took my picture. If you need any help with decorating I can come and lay on your stuff too.

Woof, woof,
Harley
